Our fans really are a miserable lot. No wonder the club never achieves anything.

What´s wrong with getting behind our new manager?
Nothing wrong AT ALL. You are right and they are wrong.

Big 'kin babies stamping their feet because they cant get their own way with some more top coaches coming in like Ancelotti and Koeman.

This is a better fit than a lot of the names that have been bandied about that we can actually get. He's a pragmatic, attention-to-detail guy that will get the players fit. He can help us get players because Mendes will talk him up. He's developed some top-tier talent over the years.

We want to play fun football, but it's hard to play fun football and get results when the top teams are vacuuming up those players and driving the prices into the stratosphere. We have to be countercyclical and buy players that will enable us to win, and right now the best way to do it is by playing boring football.

We don't have to reset because we're bringing in someone with the same overall philosophy as the former manager. He doesn't have the glittering resume, but his approach does address some of what proved to be Carlo's flaws in the big chair.

He can probably get us into the Europa League. I doubt he can get us into the Champions League, but Cruyff and his Barcelona staff probably couldn't get us into the Champions League. The monetary chasm is so wide right now, which is why it's such a shame that we didn't go all-in on cracking the top 4 in September or January. We're going to have to keep chipping away at increasing the points total until we make enough progress that we can attract the manager and players that can enable us to make the leap. With the exception of Leicester's magical season, every outsider club that looked like they could do it in January has crumbled by May.

We need to do what Levy did - keep hammering away year after year until you get there - and then do what Levy didn't, which is spend the money to bring in the players that transition the club from perennial top 6 club done good to perennial top 4 club. Levy's mistake was building a stadium instead.

Because he's terrible and it's an awful decision.

The club doesn't win anything because it appoints awful managers like Nuno.

There's no fan reason here.

We had Carlo Ancelotti last season and we still didn’t win anything and the fans still complained about him lol

None of the candidates available other then the French fella from Lille were desirable really. Other than taking a gamble and paying stupid money for someone like Conte who would inevitably walk away after 18 months when a massive club comes sniffing the options in general were terrible. Not sure who else was available that we could have enticed to come here.

Seems like Spurs didn’t have much options for their managerial search either.

You really think that’s true? Clubs do look at social media now and if there coming across some of the polls they might think differently. Last thing they need is another failed manager from the get go, look at Sam, half empty stadiums within 10 games.
Ha Ha Ha.

No chance. They view you and everyone here with contempt.

So many syllables. Can't decide whether to go with "Espirito Santo's Blue and White Army" or "Nuno Santo's Blue and White Army",

Fonseca is a lot better than Nuno. C.f. the evidence on show from several seasons at Wolves.

He should be hounded out immediately. More power to anyone who leads the charge.

Nar man, despite the above, im still not arsed Carlo left, I mean whats the point in crying?

BUT, I would have felt better going into the new season and indeed the summer with Carlo's "pull".

Regardless, 7th place Nuno is a terrible appointment, the only chink of light is that now we can "slow" down a little, we dont have to do it all with Carlo's clock ticking.

So yet again we look at Brands and he once again becomes the most important person at the club.

Over to you Big Marcel.
Nuno's record:

51% win ratio at Valencia
55% win ratio at Porto
48% win ratio at Wolves

The feller's a good manager. Sorry we're not getting aMancini or Galtier or whoever the hipsters want to get behind, but people need to pipe down now and stop crying about a coach who's more than decent.
