I dont think he's done a poor job at any of his 4 managerial posts. Ok porto is either them or benfica. Finished 4th in spain with valencia behind the usual 3 of madrid barca and atletico. No shame in that.
Doesnt excite though. Found wolves as boring as Everton. Genuinely think he'll get the biggest shock of his life when he starts managing some of this lot.
Wasnt my choice. But i think he'll end up punching alex iwobi.

Another impressive display from Belgium. The guy has a win percentage of 77% with them... How we aren't going after Martinez instead of settling for Nuno is beyond me.
Did you not support us when he was manager here ?. That's the reason why we aren't going after him. Absolute failure here , once the players he inherited from Moyes started fading. To be fair he did bring in Lukaku , but couldn't motivate , couldn't set up a defence , and lost the dressing room. Some folks have short memories.

Posters who think Everton are too good for managers who get 5th and 7th in the PL need a massive reality check.

We are mid-table nonentities who spent half a billion to get there.

Wake up and smell the coffee.

You seem very angry about the fact the knowledgeable majority don't want Nuno, David

There's no need to be upset, just repeat after me:

Booooooo

So.
Let’s suppose Brands has said ‘hire Nuno and I quit’
what does the Board do? Hire Nuno (and create utter chaos in the transfer and development side, which would impact Nuno)
Back Brands, not hire Nuno.

Depends what he does with the team and youth but Carlo fantastico that had all of his achievements away from Everton didn't know what to do, he stuck with the tried and tested just use the senior players because they cost a lot (iwobi)
i thought you were on about injuries? or are you on about squad depth?

…I don’t see it as ‘Carlo v Nuno’. Ancelotti has gone, I’m not overly bothered about that.

The fact he’s gone is an opportunity. I think most posters feel NES appointment is a lost opportunity. The bottom line is ‘was NES the right replacement?’

We can talk until we’re blue in the face, only time will tell. Let’s sincerely hope you @davek get this one right.
Incredibly harsh on board to judge this one considering Ancelotti left after all the attractive managers that might have fit the bill had joined new clubs earlier whilst fishing in the same pond as a 'bigger ' team in Spurs. There's absolutely no candidate that you could unanimously say was a slam dunk. I'm absolutely not in favour of Nuno but he at least has 2 7th place finishes to his name recently with a side newly promoted. It's not a lost opportunity it's an absolute nightmare for the club that the bloke who was in charge walked out on no notice

No mate, I'm very happy. That's because I want this manager to come in and I'll support him. You, on the other hand, seem very unhappy.

How can you just slip in ‘he did bring in Lukaku !?’

The old guard rebelled against him and stopped playing for him.
They have form for this.

Id love to bin the lot of them off and bring in Nuno and his staff and see what a clean sweep does.

We will know by Friday next week.
