This is the only way he will get me onside. Work alongside Brands and ruthlessly cull the squad of the crap, no giving the chancers another season nonsense. Brands already knows who isn't good enough. Roberto would come in and declare Iwobi the greatest winger in the league.
You can only sell players who other clubs would buy.... Then you have to get the players to agree to probably lower wages in less attractive leagues. If I was Iwobi or Bernard I would sit where I am getting a fortune for doing very little. Good luck Brands getting rid of any of them.

I'm absolutely gutted mate. I think the appointments under Moshiri have been shocking with the exception of Ancelotti (wrong fit but good manager). I'd give it to Ferguson before I gave it to an ex-red who's publicly insulted us. It's the sheer lack of any thought or long term thinking in these appointments that has been doing my head in but this appointment is on a whole other level of incompetence. Simply put its an insult to the fans and the history of our great club.
Yeah that’s how I see it. I’ve not had a lot of joy watching Everton but I’ve always had pride, and I feel like appointing a bloke who has publicly belittled us, who has an ongoing love in with our biggest rivals, who I think is a washed up has been, and who’s only applied for the job because he can’t be arsed moving house, robs me even of that. If they care so little for me why should I care for them, the lot of them can do one.

After his his first season yes. The second was woeful, may not have been his fault entirely.. But he knew the team, decided to out Baines and the "tactics" got found out. Press Everton and they fold, We continued to fold and there was clearly no plan B.
Young manager learning his trade at a top club
1 would I have him back yes
2 do I think he’s a better manager than when he left yes
3 him or Rafael god yes I will have him back
I think Rafael would be a crazy signing

So if I’m reading Joyce’s latest correctly, Moyes was actually first choice but he turned us down to stay at West Ham? And then it was to be Nuno, but that fell through at the last minute. So now it’s either Benitez (most likely) or Martinez (I guess if Benitez somehow falls through like Nuno)?

Just wow. What a top notch search process by the board here.
Good to know that we've progressed SO far from this moment

I mean all of that smarts at someone who has absolutely no idea what’s going on. It just seems like classic UK media regurgitated made up pish that we see every time we get rid of a manager. The longer this goes on the longer I’ll actually believe we have a plan in place and absolutely nobody in the media knows anything
I’d be inclined to agree except that I thought Joyce was supposed to be fairly reliable on Everton matters. Unless I’m wrong about that?

Another thing: if that account is true, surely that puts to rest the idea that Brands has any power at the club at all.

The thing is....

He's apparently had multiple sit downs with Mosh, Brands, and Bill. He will have to have done more persuading than any of the others interviewed to even be in with a shout imo
