I think there are potential games all over the place and that is certainly another angle.

If what King says is true, Moshiri will rightly get a lot of criticism, but in all honesty Brands really need to be working a lot quicker than over 2 weeks in and not interviewing a single candidate. He really should have a list of potential managers he would like to appoint good to go in such a situation, and it's pretty evident he doesn't. Maybe Moshiri is trying to push him along?
I don't think Brands has any role of any significance. He seems to be a decision implementor, rather than a senior executive driving processes.

It's becoming a major cause of concern now. If he is sidelined he should resign. He would be doing us a favour in the long run if it's clear he isn't being allowed to actively run the football operation.

He seems to be just fulfilling a symbolic role, adding confusion where there should be none.

Any manager worth their salt would want to know exactly what their relationship would be with the DOF and where the boundaries are.

I don't see how any manager can have that degree of certainty here. That's a huge problem whether it is Diego Simeone or Eddie Howe in the dugout.

You have a point, I can’t deny that,
But on the other hand, I know nothing about the Chinese league, what transfer funds he had available, Who he was allowed to sign etc.
There are people on here advocating for the return of Moyes. Until last season with West Ham I think it was fair to say that Moyes was on the decline.
So, yes I agree with you that Rafael might be finished. But it could also be that he made a mistake going to China and wants an opportunity to turn things around and remind people that he has won things.

I'm not overly bothered about what he's said in the past. Rooney kissed the United badge and came back. Moyes patted us on the head when he moved to United and nicked our players and people wanted him back.

As a manager I have an issue with but I do with all the ones linked with the job. And I'm not too fussed who takes it.
Fair enough if you can find the positive from those negatives…but not for me. Those relative betrayals weren’t from across the park and at the time a little different. But each to their own.

Steve Bruce had a better record at Newcastle

Theres no point in having a DOF if you dont let him do his job.
