I don't think he makes that decision without the other two thinking it's a good idea.

I have stated many times I have no love for Kenwright but there is no way he has any influence on the choice of manager, I doubt he even gets the chance to say what biscuits to have with the tea

I think he does whether it holds water is another thing. Otherwise...why is he still there?

Every club on earth picks managers with some form of fan reaction in mind. It would be incredibly dumb not to.
