Presumably you hated the dogs of war inspired FA cup win in 1995 then mate.

And that time we kicked Bayern off the park on 1985....
Haha! That yard dog Limpar,yeah!!
We played excellent attacking football vs Norwich 5th round, Spurs in semi and certainly attacked in QF vs Newcastle although that was tighter iirc.
Got lucky vs Bristol City in 4th and did just enough in final so on balance I enjoyed the run but yes I would have preferred us to wipe the floor with Man U but they were a bit better than us on paper so once you are in the final you do your best to win. But yes I much prefer to win hands down rather than sneak it.
‘Kicked Bayern off the park’ hahahaha!!!! We certainly gave back what they dished out but having earned the right to play we wiped the floor with them with full-on attacking football! IMO of course.
But yeah, I hate the dogs of war tag. Much prefer School of Science. Don’t you?
Not sure Rafael will be giving us performances like Spurs semi 95 and Bayern 85. If you think he will, sound!!

It would be easier if the club had an actual plan for what they want to be.

If its a short term fix until BMD is done then Favre/Benitez

If its a long term plan then Dyche/Potter

We seem like a club in limbo.
We ar3 a club in a really difficult position. Our squad is poor enough to get pulled into a relegation fight if we have a poor season. The owner is about to spend half a billion on a stadium, so he needs to ensure his investment is safe.

We could take a chance on a younger less experienced manager and end up in trouble. I suspect at this point he wants a safe pair of hands.

It feels like Russian roulette wondering what oaf the club are going to blow our minds with.

Rafael is not who I'd choose. But I am well past the point where I would place playing good football above winning a trophy. It's been 26 years. I don't care how we win something.

The Holland team should be a cautionary tale for hiring managers based on International football. De Boer was absolutely terrible for Palace yet would look like a good option of he’d gone straight from Ajax to the national team. Same with Cocu who flopped at Derby after PSV, same way no one would want Southgate.

Therefore can we please stop calling for Martinez on the back of what De Bruyne Lukaku and Hazard have done for him for Belgium.
