On paper, yeah he seems great.

My first thought after that was "how good is his English?" Top managers get there through their connection with the players. Would Galtier be able to communicate as he wants with the players?

After quickly googling I found this from a few months ago. By his own admission, it's something he would falter at. Quoted below when asked about the Liverpool job before.

We all like to sit here and agitate about certain things at the club, but rest assured decisions aren't as straight forward as we imagine sometimes.
Biesla literally has to use a translator during simple interviews after the match yet his team knows EXACTLY how he wants them set up. Football is a universal game, hiring people who can translate is a pretty simplistic solve, no?

I have a feeling we’ll be going all out for conte. If it was Rafael or nuno they’d have surely been hired by now. Conte has already said he wants a project in his next job and likes difficult challenges.

We match both a project and difficult challenge perfectly, probably the only team that does that has the finances to go out and finance the project too. Plus the big teams jobs he could get in the most part have new managers or ones stable in the job. Convinced myself so much I’m gonna bet a decent amount on it

He had a transfer embargo 1st season and did quite well. Last season you could also say he lacked the experience to get those players clicking but he certainly had the right players. Wants to play fast good football and is a good upcoming manager. I would have him
I agree with this, let’s be honest. Werner was just as bad under Tuchel and while Havertz was better he was hardly amazing.

I think lampard’s lack of experience showed. As he kept changing players to try and get them to gel, while Being to over attacking at the same time. Tuchel came in and basically shut up shop. To be fair it worked a treat, even though it still went against him the odd time, like v Leicester in the cup final when he didn’t have an answer after they went 1-0 down

Again it’s all down to who’s available. And I would take a punt on a potter or a lampard over a Howe or Nuno or Rafael. Lampard is also a very intelligent man. And comes across very driven, you know from his time as a player he was a winner. And apparently worked so hard on his game. I think you’d get the same as a manager.

I don't believe it's that simple. A lot is lost in translation. Biesla is a success despite it. It's no secret that managers and players regularly struggle with language barriers.

Either way, my point is mainly that there's a lot more to this than just transferring a manager. He's a person at the end of the day. Who know what factors might interfere with a move.

From quickly googling, an interview in January showed exactly that. His own opinion was that his English needed to get better before he could think about coming to England.

These are the things that make or break moves, and mostly we just don't know about them. What seems obvious to us from the outside may just not be the case.

Didn’t Bielsa confront fans protesting outside his house during a spell at a club by walking out and threatening them with a stick of dynamite ?

If true, we need madness like this at our club.

Why not?

Hes out of work, last time he was at a huge club he was scapegoted everytime

He has taken a mid table club to the CL

Perfect fit imo
If he’s that good he’d have been snapped up, it’s telling that there’s 4 jobs going in England and he’s nowhere on the list for any of them

Many of the players speak Portuguese , French or Spanish as their first language anyway. Does that matter less ?
