What's the fascination with Favre?

I said this last week and still think it;

I see he's a popular hipsters choice. Didn't know a lot about him, looked him up - 63 and the only honour of note was the Supercup with Dortmund.

I think we need someone with a winning pedigree/credentials, or someone up and coming.

For me, he's wrong on both sides.

although i still do not believe Martinez will come back 1 positve thing i want to say: the Belgium team play 3-4-3 so he seems to have changed his tune a bit. And even though i havent seen all Belgium games i can not recall anything about them being abyssmal from set pieces.
Barkley and Geri to come back then lol. Martines did get the best out of Barkley for sure.

What's the fascination with Favre?

I said this last week and still think it;

Think the fascination is that he rebuilt two sides in different countries, relatively big clubs, Nice and Monchengladbach, from mid table or relegation-battling to the champions league, playing attractive attacking football.
Left them in much stronger positions than they started with.

The spell at Dortmund could be classed as an aberration but it wasn't horrendous.
