Good points, mate. In this whole fiasco this is one of the (many) points that is getting under my skin!
I have not followed what he has done that closely to pretend that I know what sort of footy he will try to get us to play, so it is a hypothetical I could be wrong over. But I was pretty sure that he was ultra defensive most of the time. So while I can sympathise with a manager struggling to get these players to play much front foot footy, I don’t see him as a guy who is likely to do much of that anyway, even if we get more of that sort of player in over the next couple of windows. So the thought of travelling to the four corners of the country to watch a variant of Allardyce’s footy, produced by a guy whose managerial persona I am not that keen on is not exactly what I had hoped for in 21-22 season!!
If Farhad is happy with 38 points (max) per season, that's all well and good. But, he's really just devaluing his investment. As you say, dire football will not fill BM.

The crushing reality is, with the players we've got, a defensive brand of football is probably the safest tactical choice. I'm talking about our midfield mostly here. I couldn't fathom the likes of Allan, Doucoure or Gomes trying anything too expansive. It hurts to think like this about my team but that's why I've said it's the crushing reality. If this is what Farhad is thinking as well, then Benitez coming in as a "safe" choice to get the team playing more of the same as last season makes sense.

I am normally the one having a meltdown but I feel very meh about the entire club now, we all should have seen this shambles coming when he kept on Kenwright promoted a CEO from within a culture of losers.

We are here because Moshiri was far to respectful, he should have seen we was a club who didn’t put winning at the front of our minds and it was more about “surviving the next day”.

Not my words the words of our former CEO around 10 years ago.

So today's the day .

As Denise says " who would have thought that of all the managers in all the world I only had to come to Caldy to find you , the manager of my dreams( or nightmare) .

And when his team take the field it will be " play it again Sam" ( Allardyce).

FFS Moshiri what on earth are you about to do.
