Good luck - might be good for your health to take a break. Whatever we used to hold dear is long swept away I reckon. Not surprising when we have an Iranian billionaire owner with ties to a Russian billionaire, and both with no special affection for Everton.
Thanks mate, bowel cancer runs in my family so just hopefully a double check to make sure. And yes, I suspect it'll never be the same.

Nothing even vaguely resembling reality in that number
Sorry yeah was more focused on the dross players.

I guess with a contract of circa 10 mil per year tho, maybe that pay off won't be far off?

Unless for once we the right clauses in place?

not sure they are learning from past errors tho, I fact they defo aren't.

Koeman spent all his time on the golf course and couldnt give a toss about us.

Benitez was on the 7am train to Newcastle every day and getting hom at 9pm.

Totally different levels of commitment and the players will appreciate that imo.
Both disciplinarians, that you posited that our players respond to, not sure what that's got to do with his commute?

P.S. I had a quick look on the Trainline (other train ticket apps are available) and if you leave Liverpool at 7 you get in to Newcastle at 10.30 and to get back to Liverpool by 9 pm you have to leave at 5.30, so a 7 hour day. If he leaves West Kirby at 7 am he doesn't get to Newcastle until 12 noon and to get back to West Kirby by 9, you'd have to leave at 4.30, a four and a half hour day. Neither is outside of a normal working week. I suppose he could've just moved nearer Newcastle but he doesn't seem very bright.

Anyone who thinks this is a good appointment, no problem - that's fine.

Anyone who wants everyone to get behind Benitez, that's fine - no problem.

Just stop telling the rest of us what to do and trying to act like there is some sort of hierarchy of support. There's not. Happy clapping is everyone's perogative and they are entitled to do it, but I won't be joining when I feel like the club is staring disaster in the face.
Far too sensible this Tim.

…I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a real power struggle happening internally. Old school Chairman and a few others dead set against the appointment, Moshiri ready to make it happen to end the Kenwright authority.

As I’ve said previously, this might be more about politics than it is about football strategy.
For good reason... Could easily get very nasty very quickly, we are are not the most forgiving bunch of supporters. He won't be afforded anything, was pretty bad with Allardyce, this will be another level up on the snide. And we go in with a terrible home record from last season, with the possibility of fans back in the stadium.

  • Took treble-winning Inter to 6th, lost twice to Milan and was fired.
  • Takes a second place Napoli (78 points) to 5th (63 points) in his 2 seasons in charge. Sarri came in and took them back to second the season after.
  • Garbage again at Real Madrid and doesn't last much longer than half-a-season, 4-0 loss at home in the Classico and fielded an ineligible player in the Copa del Rey to get them kicked out too.
  • Gets the same points total as Steve Bruce at Newcastle playing dirge football throughout.
  • Goes to China and embarrasses himself going without a home win.
What a man to lead us back to the promised land. Someone who has made every club worse since 2010 barring Newcastle who'll accept any old rubbish as long as they butt heads with Mike Ashley.
