The last chance for Benitez, in my view, was the appointment of Silva's replacement. He's clearly been a superb coach, but his time has surely passed. To be fair, the fact that he has a house locally would probably mean he's unpoachable, but at this point I think we need a progressive coach who we can sack for someone better in two years time. Almost all modern football coaches are short-term appointments. They need no time to prove they can improve us or not. The only time they need is to allow themselves to line up a better job, so it's time for ruthlessness again with the next appointment. A two-year contract with an option for one more for the next mercenary sap in the door.

yes I know there are 6 but its a provisional squad that I'll reduce to 5 when I have more information. Of course my views will change again in 24 hours.

I couldnt wait for tomorrow sorry. Lets have no more of this Prem experience matters, get someone in who can build a team! stop fannying around with ex managers, championship retreads and managers who would only entertain Everton because of Mosh's money.
