I've been composing a little chant (based on the Velvet Underground classic) in anticipation of the return of the Bisto Kid to Goodison. Can't wait to hear this bouncing back and forth between the Gwladys and Park End on a Saturday evening kick off). It goes something like:

I'm waiting for Fat Sam,
Season ticket in my hand,
Down to Goodison, half past five*,
Feel sick and dirty, more dead than alive,
I'm waiting for Fat Sam.

* apologies for the kick off time but it was the only one that'd fit snugly!

Is Unai Emery a contender, I wonder?

I can't see Moshiri going for a staid appointment. He likes his showbusiness. Joachim Löw might be glamorous enough for Mosh given that German football coaches are, basically, the current fashion. Scrotum sniffing is a bonus.

Ten Hag might be another swizz appointment.

Either way, give whoever a two-year deal and sack them after one if we are not in Europe after another €200m spent over the summer. Anybody needing time to assess the squad should be told to do one. We haven't got it and it doesn't end well for us if we grant it: all that happens is our coach is poached or fails. Time to short-cut that sorry process as much as possible.

Just putting it out there about all these links today: none of these people in the media know a bean about who is on our “list,” because we won’t even have one yet.

...I’ve said for a long time that we should always have a list. It should be a standing agenda item in Brands report to the Board every Quarter.

Regardless, perhaps Ancelotti’s departure might not have been as sudden as we think,

Yes I remember Leeds having players like Andre Gomes, Bernard, Iwobi and Gylfi in there midfield running down opponents at every opportunity

He’s another serial loser
That’s a strange response. Are you suggesting Leeds had a better squad?

Depends how you define loser. Ancelotti is supposedly one of the best and you finished below Bielsa, so good luck with your next one

Wait we just tried to short-cut it and it was pointless...
