I think in modern football to ignore supporters completely would be a big mistake. Once supporters turn it makes it very hard for a manager.

I'm not saying you dont go ahead and appoint him, but it ought to be a factor.

Like I say we still spend top 7 money so that is the minimum requirements. A lot of us can remember winning the league. Brighton fans don't have that issue.

We once took a manager from a promising Norwich side that had just finished 3rd and beat Inter Milan playing good football. That didn't work out well. Job was too big for him too.

The money isn't really extraordinary. Like people say Nuno will do more here because of it but we don't really out spend Wolves.

Just a thought...Like many I gave Carlo the benefit of the doubt at times last season but it now seems to me that he was probably disinterested towards the end and with what is clear now, a lack of loyalty and desire to see this through. This is what we will continue to get even if we could secure someone of that ilk next.
Then there’s the relatively untested, young and hungry high risk manager that could easily go horribly wrong.
OR there’s the safe bet option that could get us Europe and will take us to that next step that serves as the platform for the ‘serial winner’ type that can take it from there. - This medium term process btw will be between 2-3 years until certain contracts expire in my estimation.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with accepting there’s stages we need to reach first to get to being one of the best again.

But when they did spend they finished 7th both seasons, last season plagued with injuries etc and a bad season but his first 2 in the preM where good.

I’m unsure on Nuno but his record at Wolves is decent.
