Of course it was a failure. It was an audition for a job and he didn't pass it. The first game against Chelsea apart we looked clueless - it was huff and puff and by the Arsenal game he was completely out of ideas.

Undefeated (shootouts aside) against Chelsea, Man Utd, Arsenal and Leicester.

Wish we “failed” a bit more over the years.

As I said, I'd love someone to tell me how this feller is supposed to be good enough to be a PL manager

I have no idea whether he is or not, and neither do you. (He absolutely shouldn’t get the Everton job, as I’ve repeatedly said)

To give an example, If you are impressed with what Galtier has done at Lille - I have a friend who used to work for Lille who used to tell me about Rudi Garcia. He won the league title there too, I think the double. I won't blag I know an awful lot about him or Lille, but I do know when he done it it was the first time in a very long time. He's around the same age too - and worked for a few other top clubs since.

Maybe he has . Maybe he's just told other clubs that's he not interested in moving to other clubs or another area. His pigeons may not want to be uprooted .
I'm sure there would of been a few heads turned during his managerial cameo . We just don't know .
