A boring, tedious appointment to suit the kind of club we have become.

The fact he nearly became Palace manager says it all, Crystal flipping Palace, is that who we’re competing with.

Indeed - not only that, but a manager who plays a really specific system which we simply do not have the players for. His system relies on energetic wingbacks and wingers. We have 1 good wingback in the entire club and our only decent winger is Richarlison, who also happens to be a bit crap sometimes.

People criticizing this "safety first" approach seem to forget we've just had our fingers burned massively by a glamour appointment who frankly cost us piles of money and then walked out, leaving us in the lurch.

We need manager who'll be with us for the long haul and who'll work with brands to set a lasting vision and culture. Nuno will do that. Let's give him a chance
