After posting earlier about how shockingly bad this list of managers is i've come to realize we could do a whole lot worse than someone like Daniel Farke.

His biggest flaw so far is he's not been backed financially to stay in the premier league yet has rebuilt Norwich twice and won the league twice.

Has a great affiliation with the fans at Norwich, which is critical with our fan base and getting them on board.

Plays football the correct way and implements a style on the team that shows a clear emphasis on coaching.

Has nurtured young talent and made them key members of the team, Godfrey, Aarons, Lewis, Cantwell, Skipp.

I would much rather take a gamble on Farke than anyone on these media lists we're being linked with.
My thoughts as well on Farke. If this club wants to build stability through contemporary football priorities and demonstrate a competent development, sell on and recruitment strategy he seems more than worthy of intrigue based on the options. Ratonale not all that dissimilar that justfied hiring the DoF of PSV years ago, who just signed an extension. Farke might be able to rikindle what was supposed to be Brands strongsuits . Sure Farke comes with some risk but I doubt he leaves us with a roster of expensive, deprecciating assets, reliant on a single manager to excel. Or without a fair amount of young players on the rise.

Tbf to Poch he may not end up at Spurs as he wont have much dough to spend and had his fingers burned by Levy once already.

If Everton match wages and offer him a long term deal with promise of serious backing it wouldnt be out the realms of possibility that he could come.

Conte could end up at PSG but so could Zidane.

Sure....in some alternative reality

Why does everyone think we can’t get a decent manager?

Three of our recent managers have gone on to take charge of Barcelona, Real and Belgium.

I’m sure we’ll get someone decent.
Two of those three were also hounded out by the fans lol

I didn't think Farke getting slaughtered in the PL last time reflected on him particularly well so at this point I wouldn't.

Bielsa isn't for me. I just think there is a ceiling on the way he plays and although that might be a bit of a step up for now it would leave us at square one whenever it is he goes because the style just isn't sustainable forever.

Moyes sure, we'd know what we're getting and all that, but also has a ceiling and he's probably set at West Ham for the time being.

Poch is great and would be great so we can always make a run at it but I doubt it comes off.

I'm not going to get too worked up about style so long as whatever we are doing is sustainable football. If we're defensive but actually good at it whatever, we just need to actually play decent stuff. That wasn't what happened this year for me.

You could be right on Farke, I always have a bit of time for a manager who has a philosphey and has the courage to stick with it, we need that. I also like how he coaches and improve players, but maybe he is a bit naieve. Next year could tell a lot. I just want this next appointment to have a philosphey and stick, so we can build. I’m tired with reboots, it’s stifles any progress.

For me, I think style is the roof in the house. The problem we have is the foundations, attitude and values. We have a bottling culture, since money came to the club.

I want a manager the players will play for, a manager who can cultivate, but also put down boundaries in terms of baseline attitude and effort.

Bielsa I rate really highly, I agree there is a limit on his philosphey but also value, a lot of what he sells we need. My manager of the year this year. Agree he won’t leave Leeds.

I rate Davey highly, more then most Evertonians, maybe I’m biased as i lived through so many relegation fights before he came and got us close to achieving. He has skills in terms of attitude, recruitment, on and off the pitch all of which we need. He could be tempted, maybe, I think his family live in the North East still.

Poch would be the dream. He will have way better options though.

Someone else I thought might have game on occasion was Hasenhuttl, but don’t think we’ve one player to implement his philosphey and it can be boom and bust.

Surprised so many people are that against him being appointed. He’s not a massively inspirational appointment but he did a very good job at Wolves overall.

I don't think manager has really been the problem here. He's rather competent. I would be fine w/ Nuno.

I'm looking forward to articles in which some of players are critizing new signee Traore of running too fast in practice.

I have a feeling its going to be Nuno and I am not delighted. I do think he is prem worthy, but what indicators are there that he will suceed more at Everton than at Wolves. A club thats a Portuguese satillite, had Mendes who he was clearly close with etc. I would bet he achieves nothing higher than what he could muster at Wolves. Admirable sure, but not good enough especially if it doesnt come with a giant development caveat or other ratonale.
A yes from me if he brings Neto with him!

Tbf mate many said this when we were linked with Carlo and James Rodriguez.

People underestimate how skint the footballing world is post Covid - Everton financially could probably offer higher wages and more transfer funds than 90% of European Clubs.
As Phil McNulty said, don’t be surprised if Moshiri tries to land another big name on a big contract. Whether the timing is right at the moment we’ll have to wait and see. I imagine the club knows we can’t afford a protracted appointment leaving no time for the new manager to bring in players.
