I think this might be the virtue signalling nadir.
As a cretin I find this post offensive.

It just lost all credibility xFFS, I very rarely make a mistake too.
I am too busy checking if I have swore in my posts right now to worry about spelling.
Friday.
Not necessarily this Friday. But a Friday
I would be very surprised if we spend really big money this summer, or next. We were in the top 4 in January and 'strengthened' by bringing in one loan player. We lost our manager and appear to have confined our search exclusively to replacements who are not currently employed and so don't have to be compensated. Pretty much the only way the club could possibly get fans onside about the Benitez appointment is by dropping into all the hints that he's going to be backed by an enormous amount of money, and yet there hasn't been a peep. We're not going anywhere fast by buying 3/4 players a year at an outlay of £60m or whatever like last year. That's not a complaint, it's just a fact. We could build slowly with that approach but Benitez has shown no ability to do that.I think he has a greater chance of success than people think..... why ?
Because he will have the financial backing at Everton that he hasn't had in recent jobs.
It may be that he is a manager that is past his sell by date, as a Liverpool supporting colleague of mine said to me last week.
I asked him if Klopp or Guardiola could win the league with either Everton or Spurs at the moment and his reply was that they couldn't because the players are not good enough....
Manager seem to have a life cycle where the most successful build up to a point where they are at their peak at a big club with big budgets but then their career tapers off as they get older, the clubs they manager are less high profile and the transfer budgets are more modest.
Carlo Ancelotti ran to Madrid because it gave him the opportunity to get back to an elite club..... an opportunity I would guess he thought had gone from him forever.
Everton are a midtable club as per our recent finish, but I think we do have maybe seven players capable of playing with a club in a far higher position......and we have an owner prepared to spend far more money than you would expect a club like Everton to spend.
It is this access to funds that gives Benitez or any other manager the opportunity to progress the club.
Is he good enough to do that time will tell......but then , every manager is a risk as we have seen all too well.
Fair enough. I still think your comments were out of order but still like you and others have said, its not your usual style. Opinions and stuff.Well yes. The supporters fund the football club and always have done. Long before he was here, and long after he will be gone.
Why haven’t you defined FSW on that list with his recent achievements?Potter = finished 16th in the table and hasnt won a carrot of note
Nuno = the exact same dour football as Rafael and has not won a carrot
Galtier = only managed in France
Gallardo = happy in S.America
Amorim = massive risk could work or see us relegated
Kovac = good manager agreed
Favre = 63 and won just 1 trophy - just got cold feet and left Palace hanging - why some want that kind of flimsy mentality I'll never know
Fonesca = would see us getting dicked 5-2 at Anfield like Silva as the bloke cant defend.
Conceicao = whats he done outside of Portugal which is a farmers league - big risk.
Most of those are massive risks at a time the club dont want to take risks and want some stability whilst BMD is being built.
Anyone want to buy some luxury Egyptian cotton bedlinen? Sold in white, all sizes and I will do a 2-4-1 offer for those with Everton season tickets.This is all a conspiracy by the bed sheet industry
Open your eyes people
Always happens at the worst possible time!It just lost all credibility x
Youve a wonderful heart mate adopting a horse. Is it just the 1 you have? What do you call your horse? Speedie, big dunc or Rafael?? No pants pissing here either so we’ve got that in common.'Fraid I can't do that. I adopted him from an animal charity in Newcastle. Said sommat about not letting irrational footie fans near it. Again. For the best, you wouldn't wanna be labelled in with the Geordies would you?
Good good. Anyway, as I've said before I'm not overjoyed at Senor Benitez getting the gig, but I'm not going to piss my pants over it.
