I want them to make us debt free and convert that to shares.

The fact they're not doing that and are also whining already about PSR doesn't impress me at all.

Translation. We’ve just bought an entire football club from a clown. He’s made a right mess of things but don’t worry we will sweep it right up soon. Try harder.

It means the new stadium money starts rolling in, probably an extra 20 million on naming rights alone to add extra compared to this year, that's before you start counting the extra 10k GA, premium/improved hospitality.

On top of that we are losing a lot of big earners off the books and less to maybe even no debt commitments depending on what has been actually done.

When income goes up and the outgoings are reduced it makes the PSR situation a lot rosier. A lot of that would have happened regardless of the takeover, Friedkin Group just puts the cherry on the cake as they have access to pay down the debt and restructure at decent interest rates for any that is still around.

Sad to say, 30+ years of damage tempers my mood. Actions, not words.
Since it’s been announced, I’ve felt a similar feeling of subdued (perhaps better described as cautious) optimism. TFG will likely be an improvement on Moshiri...

... but, the damage done to the club during his tenure and the chronic failings beyond that will take a long time to remedy; there'll also be bumps along the way.

With PSR still a concern and the squad having limited capacity to raise sizeable funds, I can see the rebuild - on and off the pitch being slower than some may hope.

Not really, 2 or 3 decent signings and a new manager and we be a lot happier, PSR will be done and dusted by the summer hopefully forever

Good post mate, this will be the way.

The biggest positive is we will have owners that will be focussed rather than the limbo we have been in since the Ukraine war. That’s the bottom line for me.
