He confirms that Marc Watts will be an interim appointment. That's to be expected I think. I was a little surprised that they have not filled the CEO position yet, but it seems Watts will be effectively running the club for the time being and hence his Executive Chairman role. I doubt Colin Chong will have much real involvement from here on in.

Hopefully they fill the CEO role in January. It is better to wait for the right candidate and they have also been in no particular rush to appoint for the same job at Roma. There are probably other TFG executives working at the club on an informal basis also so they take their time making any appointment from outside.

Has Colin Chong made it known that he doesn’t want a role at the club, seems a shame to lose the only competent person at the club.

He was at Laing O'Rourke and brought in to deliver the stadium project wasn't he?

The fact he's done an incredible job, might not necessarily mean he wants to stay on?

The key words I'm seeing there are that whilst he's interim, the term "exit" isn't being bandied about.

TFG may want a clean break, but still think they'll keep him about until at very worst the fully transition.

I have a vague memory of everton hosting an event at the Titanic and Chong was introduced as part of overviews of the Stadium.

Quick Google aligns with that, it would seem
It’s been a textbook appointment in every sense.

Given he was at Laing O’Rourke, he’d have known all the people, their processes and the levers to pull to get things done.

Big clients can often get a business to move in a way even its senior employees can’t - and Chong would know just where to push to get what we needed.

Turned out that way, too. The build has been delivered flawlessly.

I can't help but be anything other than immensely impressed by everything I'm
Hearing.

Now It's case of putting into action everything which is being said.

If they do half of what I'm hearing I'll be very happy. Do it all and we'll be in sound territory for a while.
If they do 1% of it that will still be an improvement on where we are coming from

He's been an absolute God send, really.

The build has been excellent, the ground looks absolutely phenomenal.

I've got cautious optimism.

They seem to actually want to do good things with the club and haven't (not yet, anyway) came out out with any outlandish claims that will set unrealistic aims.
I don`t mind them laying out what they are going to aim to get improved over the short term, but if they even mention a five year plan to be in CL I`ll tune out straight away. A lot of clowns that take over clubs have come out with a 5 year plan to get into the CL or PL and never come close to it.

I`m looking forward to United starting work on their 100k capacity new stadium that Ratcliffe is harping on about as that will cripple them financially and might make things even worse for them on the field. He`s like their version of Moshiri, and he`s done great work in making them worse since coming in there. If we can get things right this time around with the new owners running things, Spurs and Manure could drop down the table long term and leave a couple of places at the top 6 table for some one to grab, and hopefully we`ll be there to take one.
