Player Valuation: £50m
Surely we have to replace those players though so not as big a saving as you would think?a lot of wages being saved in the summer though
so many players out of contract

Yeah, its only a saving in 12months, when you havent paid them for a year, till then its just a headache about how you replace the 12 players who's contracts have just expired.Surely we have to replace those players though so not as big a saving as you would think?
you can replace at a lower wage thoughSurely we have to replace those players though so not as big a saving as you would think?
Gomes was reported to be on 120k a week.you can replace at a lower wage though
for example Tim Ireogboenum might be on around 10k a week and he has replaced Gomes who would have been on around 80k a week
a significant savings of 70k per week on just 1 player etc...
keane and doucoure and still massive wage drains on this squadGomes was reported to be on 120k a week.
But we have "most" of the wage drains gone from the squad now.
Sure there are savings to be made, but when you factor in the transfer/loan and Agent fees, are you REALLY saving money?
Keane is a squad player, Doucs, Gana and DCL are first 11 players.keane and doucoure and still massive wage drains on this squad
so are gueye and DCL technically
Not to mention shipping in half a different squad. There have to be changes for sure, but I don't see a thing where we get 10 players in and 10 players out.Gomes was reported to be on 120k a week.

i'd keep gana and dcl although it seems unlikely that will happenKeane is a squad player, Doucs, Gana and DCL are first 11 players.
So I disagree.
In the case of Gana, he more than earns his wage.
i'd keep gana and dcl although it seems unlikely that will happen
you can easily replace all 4 with first teamers on lower wages
you can't tell me we can't sign Delap in the summer on lower wages than DCL and Delap is a much better player than DCL
Havent watched Delap, but I doubt he ever scores 21 goals in a season.i'd keep gana and dcl although it seems unlikely that will happen

The stadium will certainly have been a pretty massive factor in buying the club in the first place like, think this is undeniable really. Only natural for them to spotlight that.Am I being impatient or are these guys sitting on their hands and just boasting about buying a shiny new stadium?

As well as savings on wages and amortisation we have also booked a profit on Onana this FY.Yes we have lowered our costs a lot. Both on wages and amortization. I did a calculation and I think I came at cautious 20-25m a season.
I think we are fine this season and there is some wriggle room.
We have announced a bigger shirt sponsorship and some stadium stuff too which will be another 15m (and maybe more to come).
It doesn't sound a lot, but you add say 15m to 25m to 50m on lack of debt and you are close to 100m turnaround. Which is more than the club was previously losing pre player trading
