I'm worried your bedsheets are a disgrace already Dave. The sprinkles of urine on your IKEA Cotton sheets must be pushing a real whiff into the room.

Open a window buddy. Get a wash on and drape those sheets over a few seats in front of the fire. Treat yourself.
They've been a disgrace since Martinez was fired to be honest.

Moyes will be talking us down as soon as hes got his feet under the table. Anything bad happens wont be his fault. Anything good will be down to him. If carsley is coming in with him and the plan is for moyes to move upstairs eventually and carsley becomes head coach/manager that would suit me better. I would love a sarri, mourinho or allegri but cant see us attracting anyone of that calibre at the moment. We may have to cut our cloth accordingly as they say. Moyes is still the same bottler he was when he left. He can spot a player though. Give him 18 months and if the manger they really want becomes available pay his contract up and bring them in. Its an added expense they probably didnt want but dyche has put us in this situation. Soon find out. Up the Toffees.

you’ve said a thousand things in the one post

on the fence aye

Trying to convince myself that Moyes is a good option and struggling.

I then put myself in Friedkins shoes. They need to protect their asset half way through a disappointing season where they have just taken over. I imagine they have long term plans of who should come in but would probably need to curate the squad to their needs, something you cant do quickly- particularly in January.

Probably the 'safest' pair of hands is a Moyes type manager that knows the league, can eak out results and can improve players. We desperately ned some pace into this team and I imagine we will make some signings this .January that will help our position.

I just hope there is a succession plan because it still feels like a dour, downbeat appointment which is all we have had for a long long time.
You have to question the logic of burning your bridge with the support immediately after taking over.

I can't see the majority getting behind this complete lack of ambition and the continuation of Everton's regression.

Without knowing which good quality, immediately available managers would be interested in coming (perhaps none?) I can't understand the vitriolic reaction to this. I certainly understand feeling underwhelmed, perhaps disappointed (I am) but to me they've made the right decision with Dyche, and look like making what seems an understandable move here. I don't think we're suddenly going to be winning a load of games, but I personally think gives us a better chance of survival.

That is all that matters right now in my mind. All this talk of "not wanting" other people is completely hypothetical. We simply do not know who else they may want long term, who they may have sounded out, who's told us to do one.

Like what they did with their websites and the statements about the club and what they were going to do. Loved what they did with Dyche, needed to be done. Thought we had serious people in charge finally.

Thought we would now be moving forward and onwards to a brighter future at BMD - that isn’t the case if they appoint Dour Davey, feels like a huge opportunity missed.

Massive opportunity missed in fact.

Praying it’s all paper nonsense and they go with someone else.
