- 2023: Board does a runner and we're a Doucoure mis-hit away from relegation and likely extinction
- 2024: Surviving despite a -8 deduction and a 13-game winless run that could have killed us

How does that justify devaluing our own football club to the extent where we'd accept it becoming a minion of a spiv organisation that has a fraction of the prestige of Everton FC?

So you are angry because they used to be competing for champions league, the previous owners dragged them down and falling foul of financial rules, and TFG have come in and steadied the ship with no fall in position, and increased their profits etc?

It may not be a roaring success in terms of getting back to challenging for league titles within what, 3 seasons, but it would be argued it’s a success.

I'd see that as treading water. So would most people.

So what does a suitable new owner look like?

A non-corporate, ethical, non-republican, multi-billionaire, with a clean human rights record, who has a historic legacy, and was founded at least 50 years ago, football savvy, but not an Evertonian, and has no other corporate interests which could taint or obscure our own rich identity.

Good luck dude.

One that has no other 'soccer ball franchises' to diminish our football club.

Its that simple.



Honestly, there are people who just cant wait to get mixed up with the next carpetbagger having just gotten rid of Kewnright and (almost) Moshiri.

It's unfathomable the depths to which they'll sink to get someone - ANYONE - in.

Depends how vibrant the shareholder's association is I suppose. Ours has always been vibrant...though that didn't stop the board claiming dictatorial powers.

...but the reason they're drawing their horns in again is because they spent a lot during the Mourinho days.

Overall though no one can argue TFG have improved Roma's affairs. Yes, they won't the least important euro trophy which is a feather in their caps of sorts. But they haven't fundamentally shifted the dial even remotely in the domestic game in Italy. They;ve failed to match the Pellotta-era Roma form.

That needs to be hammered home, because we're getting 'Roma fans' coming on here and telling us it's all been salad days since TFG took control. It hasn't. And it's likely to get worse for them.

They have matched the pellota era form from the recent seasons before they took over. The pellotta era which you are harping on about was several years before when they were being done for financial rule breaking.

They have secured them financially and I bet they spend more this window.
