What was the 23-24 number? And does any of this actually matter because of the new 85% rule?
We havent had the 23-24 number yet.

@bluestevon said the 85% was optional, I didnt care enough to check?

Basically ive stopped paying attention, whole thing is an utter scam of make believe numbers.

Most of those loses will be Stadium related tho, cos lets be honest, we havent been buying players recently.

And wait, WTF At the order those numbers are listed in, I googled it and AI gave me that answer, the clowns.

  • 2018-19: £111.8 million loss
  • 2019-20: £139.8 million loss
  • 2020-21: £121.0 million loss
  • 2021-22: £38.3 million loss
  • 2022-23: £89.1 million loss
Fixed it.

So by my guess, the 121m from 2021 comes off this summer?

Yes, as of this year(2024-2025) clubs can choose to EITHER use their last 3 years running PSR under 105m, OR 85% of revenue in player costs. Next year it wont be optional and all clubs will switch to the 85% rule by force(or 70% for those in europe).

Undoubtedly we are choosing the 85% of player costs for this years books unless we are really really really dumb.

Okay, in that case Im not sure which we chose.

I’m clueless about the psr regs. What is the deal with psr during this window vs during the summer? Why do people talk like the summer will be different?
In the summer the PSR rules will change. Clubs can then spend up to 85% of their total revenue on player wages + transfer amortization.

Our revenue next season is expected to be around 250m, higher than all but 6-7 clubs. That means we can spend 212m on wages+. Considering we currently spend 75-90m on wages and more players are coming off of the books, that gives the owners a LOT of money to spend on buying players if they wish.

Sounds like a cause to be excited for! Cheers!

Surely that isn't right, they won't let us spend much.
