Yeah some progress is fine, we're also doing fine as it stands. Did I want/expect more players - yeah, sure, but if Moyes can bring us to safety earlier with this same squad - why overspend when we know where this takes us? He's also usually very good at judging the ability of the available players and the expectations from them, so not getting 10 players yesterday tracks.Leicester and it seems Forest are just 2 teams that turned it around in 12months.
Probably more examples, but it doesnt happen much.
The club has been asset stripped for 3 years now.
I think its fair to say it will take a little time to move us up, to where we want to be.
As does only getting some random loan who probably won't see much playtime, but is an interesting addition (especially if we get to see less of Doucoure).
Come the summer break if/when we have a new DOF, stadium, and all - yeah, improvements are needed across the board, I'd expect quite a bit more incoming players - we'd need a striker, full backs, a cannon to fire Ashley Young straight into the sun, maybe keep Charly, hopefully keep Branners, and so on. We'll probably go for somewhat cheaper utility players with experience and a youngster or two to fill the gaps as well, I don't expect anything overblown. Hopefully get to finish comfortably midtable, sadly also probably will get pumped in the cups by some random lower league teams, as is Moyes tradition.
