Bill had Sir Paul lined up to sing Spirit of the Blues at the opening. Hope it still happens.

Spirit of the Blues was part-written by Billy Kinsley a contemporary of Paul McCartney at the Cavern (Billy was in the Merseybeats at that time).

yea, I havent been around that area since I was a kid but I was slightly confused!

They definitely went down Leeds Street from the University end, I recognise that junction. They also hit Boundary street from the wrong way if you was coming from Goodison, as they approached with it being on the left. My guess is they hit Leeds street, then turned round and came back along Scotty and come off on Stanley Road.

Made me laugh anyway.

I thought I saw a picture of a girl taking the plastic covers off the seats. Why would you do that, keep them covered until nearer the day…
