Given the stadium is likely to be built with the option to expand capacity should it be required, I doubt the bowl with a uniform wrap around roof will be the likely design.

I think (from what I've been told) the brief and possible solutions are way more out of the box than "yet another bowl"

When we was the last time any stadium designer built a 4 sided stadium? Its wasted space, nobody in their right mind would do that David.

Dan Meis himself quite possibly, according to that lecture that was linked earlier. They took the seats from the corners and added them to the main stands, then made the non-seated areas in the corners into "party zones" with open air theatre performances and the like.

It's always bugged me how we threw away that opportunity to be where the Echo is, so happy to see a dock side stadium again.
