New Everton Stadium

I know. I meant it more as a common but extreme example as towards standing in steep stands. The thought of standing in the Top Balc with it's steepness is quite scary!

A better example would have been the Lower Gwladys Street v Park End. The Gwladys Street naturally stands far far more than the Park End because it's shallower, so the atmosphere within the Gwladys Street gets going far more often. However acoustically the Park End is a lot louder.
Haha Steady on...your talking to a Streetender here mate !
But point taken...would love to have an end like Dortmunds Westfallen Stadion's Yellow Wall.
Boy wouldnt the redshite be jealous.

A number of interesting discussion points that all need their own individual thread really.

1. Building for Expansion
2. External Appearance
3. Shallow stands v Steep stands
4. Number of tiers
5. Internal Appearance
6. Executive boxes and positioning
7. Positioning of away fans
8. Type of Tiers
9. Corners
10. Rows in End Stands
11. Future Considerations

Surprised 'Toffeeweb' isn't aware, but firstly, Shallow stands v Steep Stands and Types of Tiers are basically controlled by the same H and E regulations. So architects are quite limited in what they can do.

The green guide has recommendations and also regulations. The recommendations do not have to be adhered to.

However when you're talking about building huge stadiums then as stands are parabolas you have to ensure that the back rows fit into steepness regulations of 34 degrees and distance from the pitch etc so there are more limitations. So there is some freedom there.
