New Everton Stadium

So:

The ground will cost the club in excess of 300 mill to build.

The club will pay the council 14mill a year for the site for 40 years = 560mill over that time.

Am i analysing this right?

If anybody is underwhelmed then they need to see the big picture; these things take time and every step needs to be legally binding. We cannot jump into it with half truths and hearsay, it has to be done properly. There is plenty of time for the 'wow' factor to come around to the forefront...give it time

We’re keen to stress not only the scale of the work ahead but also the remaining risks and uncertainties. We’re delighted we’ve secured the site and we’re equally delighted the Mayor is continuing to support our financing model, but significant hurdles remain, not least the preparation and submission of a detailed planning application. Receipt of a successful planning approval at some point early next year will be the most significant step towards bringing the stadium to life.”

No planning permission until next year.
