Mind Dave, quite a number of the PL clubs could be also said to be akin to the type of character you describe, so Everton are hardly out there on their own.

This could be very damaging if the most instrumental force on the LCC side is on a slippery slope. Ged Fitzgerald was sent by Anderson to work closely with EFC and the stench of that fraud case is in danger of enveloping our scheme.

Actually sounds extremely simple when you read it. Would be interesting to see how much more funding we could get from the same pot when the inevitable cost rises happen.

The cabinet report to be discussed next week at the Cunard Building also offers an update on projects currently underway in the Ten Streets area.

• Stanley Dock – works to the Grade II-listed Tobacco Warehouse are progressing to bring forward 538 apartments. The show units are due to open in early 2018 with the first phase of works due for completion late 2018 – bringing forward new commercial floor space to the area.
• Cruise Liner Terminal – work is underway with outline planning permission sought in November 2017 and site investigation works programmed for early in 2018. Works, subject to funding agreements, are due to commence in autumn 2018.
• Isle of Man Ferry Terminal – a planning application from the Isle of Man government is expected to be submitted in spring 2018 which will see the terminal relocated within Liverpool Waters.
• Everton Football Club stadium –pre-planning discussions are underway to bring forward the stadium development with a planning submission expected in summer 2018.

Really? I have been to Goodison once (back row of lower bullens) and couldn’t see a thing because everyone in the few central sections was standing up. Stewards didn’t give a toss. Luckily there was a couple of empty seats in the next section where everyone was sitting down, so swiftly moved to there

I did, but the roof is so low it blocked the far half of the pitch, and all the people standing blocked the view of the near half. It was pretty much like watching the game through a letterbox
