New Everton Stadium

That's the one mate cheers. @Adversus have a read of this to see how purchasing houses isn't easy and how the Kopites used a lot of underhand tactics to purchase the properties to get to where they are today.

Is it possible to move the school and purchase houses? Of course it is. But it can be a long process and not something where you can throw 60-70k at someone and say "well we think this is what your house is worth and we would like to buy it". A lot of folk are probably happy where they are.

The school I think would be a damn sight easier to move than trying to purchase 40-60 houses ( if indeed that's what we would need to do ).
That's the part that would bother me, however some houses were purchased as far back as the late 1970's between the Park End and Walton Road - it's not like we didn't do it first. Not that that makes compulsory purchases morally right, of course.

Of course mate, every club does it but there's ways and means. The RS were purchasing as many as possible on specific roads until there were just a handful of folk left living in derelict streets. I still own a house not far from there and I can tell you, walking through that section you would think you were in a war torn country. They pulled the absolute life out of that area and I would like to think we would ( if we done similar ) would do it with a bit more class and respect, 2 words that lot have not and never will understand.

Yes, I grew up not far from there, in L4, and have cause to go there on occasion. It's been grim for a while, sadly.

But as you say, there's a way to go about things properly and with honesty and I'd like to think that we'd be good to people - LFC have been neither proper or honest.

A lady in the road I grew up in had been rehoused by EFC in the late '70's due to the Park End area being bought up, and as far as I know she was ok with it.

Spot on mate.

What really has me in all this, the council were supporting them to some extent. It seems we do not warrant anything like that support. Not that I would wish our club to behave like that shower.

The one word thats pivotal to the millions quoted is 'including'.

When the spin was in full flow at Kirkby the figures for 'kit-out' was separated out on occasions.

I tend to treat Kirkby like a do a bad dream and totally forgot that it ever happened. Everything about that was an absolute farce and fortunately that was shown for what it was which was a tin shed and a board basically selling us down the river without a paddle.

We wouldnt get that much for them, new contracts for those that would stay will eat up a large portion of budget too
Our wages bill is likely to go down over the next few year as older players gets fazed out and younger ones come through. It really isn't an issue unless we try to keep pace with the likes of West Ham who are spending silly money which we aren't going to.

Even with a new stadium, it wouldnt make much difference to our spending for many years, the repayments would be alot
Without a new stadium there's no chance of even staying were we are. Once the stadium is built the additional revenue would cover the repayments and still leave more money if we spread the loan out over decades. Think of it like a mortgage on your house and the TV money is the deposit.

I have already demonstrated on this and the Board thread how little additional income would arise from a stadium built on debt.

We need capital not debt or incremental income to move forward.
It wouldn't be built on debt. We would be able to finance up to 40% of the cost up front which would allow us to get very favorable terms over decades. It would also eliminate the main reason no buyer can be found making it far more likely to get outside investment and the removal of this board.

Hahaha our wage bill will not go down, it will go up.
Why exactly is that?

We have about 30% of the squad that are mostly backups that are going to leave due to their age. Due to their age they're also some of the highest earners. These players are mostly going to be replaced by kids.

Standard inflation see the wage bill increase, plus we'll have to replace the ageing players with new players who'll be on big money
