Deffo like the bricks. Gives it a real connection to the area most modern stadiums don't have. Actually looks like the Albert docks. Not sure about the bowl though.Is it blue?

The more I look at it, the more I can see the "rising from the dock" aspect. For me it's as if the brick sections were already in place, and the reflective top section has risen from the water and crashed into and through the buildings. Like, to be fair, a wave.

I just don't get those 'disappointed' with this (or the design). Its got to happen and it looks good to me. Whether it'll ever get to 62,000 I'm sceptical about. But we'll certainly fill it at 52,000.
I grew up within 1 mile of Goodison Park and it'll be a wrench.....but whats not to like about this 'project'. If it gets delivered it could be the start of a new era for our brilliant club.

I think we all (relatively reasonable) people accept and embrace that we need a move and that a move will happen, but I'm just not blown away with the design given the build up Meis has given it and how much we've been looking forward to it. It's OK, but just that to me, I'm afraid.

Dunno if the extra capacity would be due to safe standing or a genuine expansion

Get with the times fella. Without new stadiums and serious hospitality we will stay middle of the table.

Maybe.... assuming the football bubble doesn’t burst. I actually have a feeling that will happen in the medium term, just based on how turned off people are by the rampant commercialism.
