True. It's daft, the Baltic market doesn't need one. Brunswick is up the road. Suppose the same point can be said about Sandhills.

Other than that I don't think you get 52,000 people strolling into the Baltic area too often
I think the club would have to contribute to the construction of a new stadium closer to the site than Sandhills, Liverpool look like they would have to contribute a fair bit for a new station if they wosh to increase there capacity more than there previous plans.
Sandhills isn't that far really, but I could see a new station eventually being built, it wouldn't be announced this early though, especially before any proper work on the site as started, with the stadium and the plans for the 10 streets area, it would be of far more use than the Baltic one.

The present station at Sandhills...who or what does it serve?
Why is it at this location?
Surely it cant be used that much by people boarding and alighting there?
Would it not make more sense to relocate it to nearer to where new businesses and residences are to be built ( as well as a new stadium)?
