With all whats going on in the world, UK when there is some normality back into our lives this stadium can only be good thing for the city with regarding jobs and finance.
So do you think it may get pushed through quicker?

I think 2020 is going to be a write off on so many levels.

This will rank right up there as one the most iconic stadiums in the land.

None of this stuff happens and they'd start this summer
Now? Forget it - next year it is then.

It was never expected to start work before September and by then you would hope that some sectors of society would be getting back to work. I see that in China they are getting workers back to construction already.

I think that getting the planning through in the first place may be the problem as more and more sections of the community are put into lockdown.

The only positive is that it will be a big boost to a local economy to have such a big project ready to help kickstart things as the country tries to get back to normal.

I just hope the club have their fair share of consultants with experience in this area. Laing O’Rourke are one of the top construction and engineering firms in the world and will deliver a world class product but they will use every opportunity to get any extra money out of the club and will know all the tricks. Main contractors normally report profits around 3-5% so they historically look to make as much extra money off the client as possible.
