The walking distance from Lime St station to Anfield is 2 miles, it is 1.9 miles to BMD, so there's hardly a great difference in walking distance from our national rail hub. Plus of course Anfield has more approach roads from all directions and is nearer to the motorway. You may be right about the residential nuisance factor, but the make-up of the developments around BMD may also be mainly residential.... they certainly were in the original outline plans for that end of Liverpool waters. Yes, if public transport infrastructure along the waterfront is much improved, preforably with it's own dedicated system, then there is a better case for good mass people movement from the city centre. It would be more convincing again if there was a moving pitch and closing roof to give it proper year-round multi-use and make it the largest indoor arena outside of Cardiff. At £500-600m that should've been possible..... unless of course that's not the real cost.
