For me it’ll always be BMD no matter whether they call it the skittles stadium or the new goodison, it all depends on the person

Absolutely, its what I knew as a kid so is ingrained

I live in London and most of my mates are Arsenal fans and I haven’t heard any of them refer to it as the Grove

Edit: this is obviously a small sample size so maybe more do

I know a few, admittedly not many but they refer to is the Grove when chatting, same as my spurs mates calk it the Lane. Again my sample size is like yours but defo heard it.

That’s partly because all indoor arena’s sell the naming rights , not all football grounds do the same .

The all called it the Echo Arena for years.

A football stadium will have 10 years minimum called something commercial. By that time the BMD will be forgotten for anything other than a postal address.

Whatever it is called, and whatever the future name changes may be, Bramley Moore Dock will always be written on the wall outside…..

No, I meant all told.

The salient point thiugh is that ours will when built, and the BMD name will be used as a postal address. Just like our present ground, no one would ever say 'The Goodison Road Stadium'.

I genuinely dont know if your salient point is tho!

I'm a Kirkdale lad, I still know people who refer to Tillotsons as Tillotsons or Tillys but it aint be so for quite some time now. Its a name and names tend to remain

I'm sure the address will be Bramley Moore Dock, Regent Road L3 0AP whatever they call it!
