There's a commitment to build the stadium, which may mean financing it if required. I suspect that was not the case until the 24th February.

For what it's worth, I was told a few years ago that the financing was in place if not formalised, and that message has never changed.

It would be really really unusual if he was. Speaking as someone who has a bit of a clue about the funding of commercial property builds. But maybe he has gone all in with us? If, after its all done, he has lobbed circa £1 billion (plus most likely), at the club he owns, that leaves him with apx £1.5 billion left to pay the leccy, plus sole ownership of an ace stadium, and (hopefully) a PL club.

If I was 60, with no kids nor wife, would I do it? Most likely if I am honest. Stephen Lansdown has done very similar at Bristol City and Bristol Rugby, albeit with a 0 or so less on the bill.

Worth bearing in mind that everton turned down really competitive terms from the Council in the past few months on a loan to fund part of the stadium build... my guess is Moshiri has a significant amount of liquidity is in no hurry to sign up to any kid of funding deal that he doesn´t see as beneficial to himself... and as such we shouldn´t worry about the lack of announcement on the funding side.

We've basically proven to Laings we can pay for it so it's full steam ahead.
