Stadiums need to have a fan zone within a certain distance of the stadium. And we’re getting one of the biggest and best literally on its doorstop.

On one of the club's videos I saw recently, there was a woman from EFC who talked really well about the fan zone. Smaller concerts will take place there, she said. Absolutely superb.

Absolutely. Hopefully have independent food stalls and bars like in the renders.

A few big screens would be good too to watch televised matches.

And yes I know the lady you’re talking about, she spoke incredibly well and as a bonus she’s a local.

That'll be so good. Hopefully DMA's get to play in the shadow of the stadium! Will never be big enough to play the main thing unless supporting someone, but the fan zone would be great.

I would suggest that the first game will have a 3pm or even earlier kick off. They will want the whole thing to start and finish during as much daylight as possible for safety reasons.

What is the rake of the top balcony?
What is the rake in the new stadium and is it different between the upper and lower tiers?

I sightline surveyed GP about 25yrs ago. As far as I remember the Top Balcony is 38°. I'm not home for another 3wks, but will check then.

There is a slight difference in rake angles for upper and lower tiers on East, North and West stands. Again, I would have to check the dwgs for accuracy, but think the upper tier could be 35°. 34° was the guideline's max, but think there is some leeway now.

It's just dawned on me that in over 40 years of going to Goodison I've never had a poo in there. Not even on derby day or when Joel Robles was in goal. Could be only 25 games to put this right
