All the positive noises re this waterfront stadium are music to my ears. Would also make coming over for games 10 times easier and I'm sure the boat would sort out nicely timed day trips to accommodate those not wishing to pay for hotels. Would allow me to get over way more often

No chance whatsoever. Land probably get handed over to council in some sort of deal in return for them helping with funding/permission to build on new site, wherever it may be.
