Here is a picture I come across somewhere, might have been from GOT not sure. Not what you wanted but will still give an ideaI'd love to see an accurate image comparing the Goodison main stand superimposed onto (or next to) the East or West stand of the new stadium. Especially from the outside.
Cos Goodison is set amongst houses it looks very tall, but because BMD stands alone it is harder to get that comparison. Has anyone seen any composite images so we can see the true difference in scale?
I believe the perforations are not a cosmetic detail. I think they're there to break up air flow and/or reduce wind loading etc across the barrel and roof sections.I did wonder if they could put LED's in each of the holes in the barrel cladding, each one would act like a pixel on a dot matrix screen (like the ones on motorways) and you could spell out words across it like a giant billboard, so it could say Everton or Sponsor name etc, or just have patterns/colours etc.

They have something similar at Swansea Arena, and there are enough perforations in the cladding panels to get the required pixel density. View attachment 284490 View attachment 284489

P.S I've seen the side profile pics from that powerpoint a few years ago, but that's not as good (and it was the 60,000 version anyway I think)
Mad how the top tier is almost as steep as the top balcony, which must be the steepest stand in UK football.
What's struck me about all the reaction videos of people walking into the bowl for the first time is that everyone comments on how steep it is.Mad how the top tier is almost as steep as the top balcony, which must be the steepest stand in UK football.
The new stadium's bound to be in a lot of tv stuff from Liverpool in the years to come.
From the BBC Rap Game UK last night.

Please forgive me Dave, as I know you shouldn't judge a book by its cover and all that, but... if a questionnaire asked, which GOT member watches Rap Game UK? It's not your name that immediately springs to mind.

I’m sure they’ve got a dimmer switch or change the bulbs to a less powerful lamp.haha, fair enough Rich
I just think we should wait till the job is finished before slating them for niggly aesthetics.
The whole west side isn't lit up yet. Maybe there is some process where that has to happen before testing the saturation of the lights.
I dunno but I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt till it's finished.
surely they can dim them down. Far too close to the structure and too powerful. It might work given the perforations in the barrel cladding, however strip lighting much like the stuff that sits within a track on the South stand that points up at the inside of the barrel cladding, could be used instead.

That way we know it will create the outside glow that is there now. Just without the hotshots the single units are creating.
Hopefully the settings of what is there currently can be changed to tone it down and match what the designs show.
Have we tried switching them off and then swiitching them off again?
