New Everton Stadium

Emirates and Wembley both made in that period where space was considered desirable in a football stadium.

Pretty clear now that’s not conducive to the best atmosphere. I think we and Spurs built at a better time for that.

I know it didn’t get especially far down the road, but I’d be interested to see some detailed plans of the King’s Dock stadium… things like distance to pitch and steepness of stands would be particularly interesting.
Nothing would have compared to the Kirbydrome, that would have been a proper hotbed of apathy

It didn't get as far as detailed plans.

Noticed how far the Emirates pitch is from the stands today, must be twice the distance at BMD.

The distance from the pitch is because the bottom tier is so shallow. The bottom tier is that shallow because of the need to fit 4 tiers in.... which is further condensed by height restrictions of the sight. The distance is not that big on the sides, but behind the goals, where the focal point of the goal is more defined, they have had to set the stands back a fair amount to ensure that everyone has a decent view of the near goal. Lots of tiers and the resultant fragmentation or lack of unity, can hinder the atmosphere, but also the proportions can make a big difference too. The relatively small upper tier bringing fewer people closer to the roof, thus limiting any acoustic effect. Continuing the corporate tier around both ends exacerbating that further again. While it's not great for singing and needs the whole place to be up for it, I found the atmosphere to be fine there yesterday, and was fairly intense at times. Spurs had less height constraints and were able to incorporate slightly steeper tiers. The South Stand being the increasingly universal solution of adding a large Kop at one end to be the engine room to really drive the vocal support. Personally, in their case I think that would've been best served if they had done a larger version of their "Shelf" on the side and had just 2 tiers on the ends to be more like the old WHL.

Coming up for Chelsea game and was gonna wonder down for a look at new stadium . Where best spot to park and view it ? is there a gap in that dock wall anywhere for a good picture?
Blackstone street mate
It's right opposite the stadium just past the Bramley Moore pub.

You will see the gaps in the wall to get some good pics.

Edit
Be prepared to be amazed .
