I think the message was always that it was going to be completed in March kind of time, not quite long enough before the end of the season to warrant upheaval of moving in mid season. It means there is no time pressure to get things done and cut corners.Been posting on here years telling people why it wasn’t feasible to get the keys in December and start playing games in January
Glad that’s finally wrapped up
That’s true. So the club haven’t dropped the name like a hot potato then have they.Folks can try and dunk on Dave all they want, but Everton have dropped the use of BMD when it relates to calling the stadium that. That’s been the case for quite some time.
As they have done for a while; they say it’s the Everton stadium on Bramley-Moore Dock or new Everton Stadium Project
Referring to the stadium as BMD is long dead. Referring to the location of the dock by its name is not.
That’s not hard to grasp.
That's a big brick middle finger, right?

Stayed at The Titanic last night. Not a bad view.
Answered the question I had about whether they leave the lights on overnight - and they do!
They came on at about 3:20 yesterday evening and were off by about 8:20 this morning.
It also looked like all the TVs were on in the south and east concourses… not sure if that was because of yesterday’s events or if they always do that?
I know we’ve got the old solar panels up there, but we could maybe scale back a bit on the old hit to the leccy bill.
There was a face pressed against the window, tapping away with a car key… but I just drew the curtains and tried to forget about it…Nice! But what we really want to know is did you wake up to the warm embrace of @matty1878 spooning you?
Would have been nice to get some of the legends there to walk around the ground.
The handover was a formal one, mainly done in the offices, with the site then locked up for Christmas and New Year. Was the hand over actually shown anywhere on any media streams. I haven't seen anything. All a bit underwhelming if I'm honest. Still it's a great stadium and hopefully a bright royal blue future.
hopefully they'll knock that old thing down as it's obstructing the viewView attachment 287146
