It's within the site boundary, and the site boundary dictates the rules, not your position within it. Unless there are separate areas that require permits. Easier to just keep it on.

I’ve seen other games on TV where the first few rows are full of half and half scarf fans looking happy whatever the score, probably having bought a “package” ticket.

There was a “fan” behind the goal near the front of the big Spurs wall home-end versus Newcastle the other week with a sign saying “Isak can I have your shirt please”
