Oh it does, for sure. But the point is clearly a decent amount of people who theoretically were waiting for a season ticket haven't actually taken the opportunity once it came to it. It's not a criticism, it's a big commitment and that was always going to be the case.
I'm not too sure tbh mate what it shows yet. For all we know, everyone who wanted a season ticket has purchased one and then these are for the next set of people who are on the waiting list. It'll certainly be interesting to see if they all sell out in the next few weeks.

I went in at the corner of the East stand to access south at the last event. It was stairs only up to the concourse.
They will be snaffled up of course, my point was just that having 30,000 on the waiting list was never going to mean there were 30,000 people who actually wanted season tickets like some people have continually suggested. There will, of course, be more than enough on it who do want one to fill up the couple of thousand we're talking about here.If that's the case then I'd expect the remaining tickets to be snaffled up.

How does it? You're assuming that the seats still available represent season ticket opportunities that haven't been sold.
The capacity is 53,000 (give or take). We've got roughly 32,500 season ticket holders and we've opened up circa 3-5,000 tickets to those on the waiting list. So, with the 3,500 away tickets that brings the total to circa 41,000.
Meaning we're leaving around 12,000 tickets for sale on a game by game basis, both hospitality and general admission. Suspect the club have held back seats in certain areas so that all the ones offered for General Sale aren't all grouped together in less popular areas. However, they won't have just released the exact number of seats to choose from for the exact number of fans eligible to buy a ticket.
Ultimately, we have far more seats available within the ground than we we allocating to season tickets.
All of the tenures that were announced have had the opportunity to purchase now. Last batch was waiting list with 5+ years on the list and 5+ memberships on March 12th. If there are any remaining seats from the number of total seats set aside for season tickets, then the next set of eligible people from the waiting list will be contacted via email on 31st March. Even though there are still thousands of seats showing, I’m not sure if all of them will be set aside for season tickets, majority of them will be single match tickets. I reckon there’ll be under 200 fans that are contacted a week on Monday.
Out of the 30000 on the waiting list there will undoubtedly be some who wouldn't take up the offer, but it would be a very small minority.
Me and my Grandson are on the waiting list so I'm made up that there are still plenty available in the Family stand, but I don't expect for one minute that we will get one. (both only had membership since 2024)
Hopeful that there will be plenty in Family stand for general sale.
