New Everton Stadium

Don't forget the ceilings in the concourses...and the four corners of the stadium exterior when they take down that horrible scaffolding. And that blob on the roof of the club shop. And the bird droppings from the exterior of the West Stand...
I'd like to see the ceilings done but I don't think they will be.

I do hope the screed finish will still be applied to the corners once the scaffolding is down. The weather staining has made those areas look filthy for months. I read somewhere recently though that the scaffolding might still be up by August.

I'd be surprised if the branding effort didn't begin within a few weeks. The club addressed questions on that during the second test. I'd be surprised if any major element of that was dependent on naming rights and it looks like any announcement on that is not imminent anyway.

I'm looking forward to the branding. On a bright sunny day and when lit up the whole place looks great but otherwise can look a bit dull to be honest. It needs colour and brightening.

My only other bugbear is the steps on the Western Terrace. Again the lighting looks great there but in daylight it looks too much like a mass of concrete to me and a bit too monolithic. I would have broken that look with more heavy-duty and darker railings but that's just personal taste. Perhaps they will be able to add colour there too.

Those of you that went to the test games - did anyone sit at the back of the north stand? Our season tickets are in Row 46 in block 243 (3 rows from the back) and I’m just trying to work out how far away that really feels from the match? (The view looks great on virtual venue) but then there’s no one in the pitch - can you work out who the players are from that far back?! 😂
This is back row of north upper. Nothing wrong with that at all.

Would you like the whole thing pebble dashed? The stadium is in a historic industrial landscape so it needs to work in that context for me at least

Just spoke to a contact involved in the plinth statues. They wanted something in bronze that is the essence of Bramley Moore, and Everton.

It's a thing of beauty.

That should be placed on the centre circle at the start of every game and removed just before kick off. Even better if they attach little wheels to it and it can be driven down the tunnel remotely.
