New Everton Stadium

Decent puff piece that.

The stadium and the city and river looked majestic.

The Kopite Rotheram there talking up the regeneration aspect - the stadiumas 'the anchor' for it...but he and that city council who cant organise a piss up in a brewery cant to get people to it. The bad headed fraud.
Bad headed fraud……genuinely made me giggle. His wig is shocking, it’s like a mullet but it looks like it shouldn’t be!!

You've done a survey ?
You think they'd swap grounds ? I wouldn't same as I wouldnt swap Goodison for Anfield.
Yep. I’d defo swap for a stadium in one of the worst and poorest parts of the city (believe I’ve lived in the shadow of anfied road) in which they turfed out the neighbours to put a McDonald’s on their door step in the face of a community bakery instead.

There is no way on earth they aren’t fuming we have a state of the arts fully funded and paid for stadium on the docks for every ship, and plane and car to see as they enter Liverpool.

Ha yeah cos Vauxhall is something to aspire to.
You'd have to be an adolescent to "fume" over such matters.

..
Get Ch4 news on now...they're doing a big piece on it in this news broadcast. Should be in the second half of the programme.

Good to see a factual update, not like the usual begrudging piece from the kopites at the tabloids and BBC.

Only negative is the appearance of that charlatan Rotheram.

I don't believe it is fully paid for mate.

They are probably fuming that we built ours but don't under estimate the cult of Anfield. They love their hodgepodge and think everything pales in comparison. This is their biggest weakness as it stops them from being what they could be, if we looked at it from a pure what could they do with a blank canvas and a city that would bend over backwards to give them any location they wanted.

The stadium is lovely and all and will be an entirely different match day experience for fans and raise our profile, but it is just a means to an end, with that end objective of us being more competitive on the field, and eventually winning trophies. The RS already at that stage unfortunately, so whilst I am sure they would have rather us stayed in our place and stayed at Goodison, and I am sure they’re uncomfortable with us moving to a new stadium as they don’t know what effect it has, anyone who thinks they’re fuming about it when their about to the win the league in my opinion, are kidding themselves.
