i've had a couple of training shirts from a jjb clearance(now shutdown) and tbh they are more comfortable than the kit and dont date as quickly, i reckon 1 of them is better than the kit in looks too.
ebay has the home shirt new with tags for between a tenner and 15.

the dates on the kits say season 07/08 thats gone, looking back over last couple of years they have gone on sale at the end of may, but been worn in last game, even a 1/2 time change once i think, cant get any details from club though.

Maybe its just me, but i love buyin new kits. i love havin old kits wi players names on em as mementos of days gone by. Think of the salmon kit, mines a gazza one and the silver/grey away, a tommy g. the white danka wi black stuff down sides, big dunc. This years home, pienaar, last years, beattie, prev year, arteta, prev year, carsley. FA cup winning home kit, horne.
I bet this is makin some of think about your previous kits!
Im never as proud as when im walkin about the town in my spankin new Everton kit. I love that feelin!
Incidentally, I was the first person in the world with an Everton home kit with Beattie no.9 on it. was just on everton tour a short while after we signed aj and was being walked around the hallowed turf by the legend Dave Hickson when we got to changing rooms. God bless him he even laid out some kits for us previous to our visit even though the team were on pre season tour. Anyway, on a table thing near the door in home changing room was a piece of paper with the new squads details and their new player numbers. I had suspected that aj would want no.8 and beat would want no.9(he wore 8 prev) but wasn’t sure. anyway dyno dave lifted the piece of paper quick as soon as he saw it sayin ‘I cant let you see this, it’s a bit secret’. I asked him what it was and he said, ‘since your over from northern Ireland you can be the first to see’, beattie no.9 aj no.8.
After tour, straight into megastore, bought the new shirt and said, beattie no.9 please. They said, hes no.8, I said, ive a feeling he will be 9.
They weren’t gonna do it cause they ‘KNEW’ I was wrong and in end I had to talk to a supervisor/manager/assistant manager(not sure which) and basically say its my shirt, surely what I want on it is up to me.
1 hour later in Liverpool city centre I was so proud especially when streams of people came up to me askin when were the new squad numbers released? When did you find out beattie was 9? It was great. The attention I got made me feel like a new player!

thought i had a bob latch spesh the other week on ebay, even sorted out someone to redo the hafnia for me, it then rocketed in the last 1/2 hour to about 55squid, i didnt want it that much, good thing is i can still fit into them too, might dig out my paul "the power and the glory " shirt from the attic, would love a proper '85 one as the repro's look crap, dont like the lineker one either.
i got a danka cup final one on the cheap then someone said hey the names wonky, quick as i flash i said, "it's a wingers to foil defenders into thinking they are dropping a shoulder then they skin them on the outside.....surely you knew they did that on the player issue ones"

i ad rideout 9 on my salmon and blue striped 3rd nec kit and kanchelskis 17 on my danka away (white wit black n silver pattern on sides) an i remember bein dead proud an took it to show my nan, she said "who the hell is kawasaki?" brilliant, that was when i was a kid...it was also when kit changes were much more infrequent..i hope it stays the same

Id give anythign to get an addidas kit, or anything else apart from umbro. Umbro is a disgrace, copying all their kits, its horrible...and if we are getting one like west hams its a sad day...
