New manager

I would try for the Bournemouth manager, apparently only on low salary, we can offer a much higher salary, have a brand new state of the art 53,000 stadium in a prime location, new rich owners and almost a blank slate to start with, plenty of players out of contract. Still a big name with a rich history.
Not sure we’re able financially to pay comp to a sacked manager and staff as well as to Bournemouth for their manager and his staff

Anyone know how long is left on Iraola's contract, would it be feasible to go for him ? He appears to be the stand out for ne anyway.
To the end of next season I believe.

I don't think it's feasible at all, on any level, and if it were, I wouldn't expect him to be interested in stepping into a relegation battle and leaving behind what he's done there, for that.

Na i think maybe end of season if we stayed up he might consider it but mid season, id be very suprised

Interesting thread but we are nowhere near sacking him IMO. No media noise or pressure, no massive crowd unrest apart from the usual final whistle booing, not in the bottom 3 and had 3 good results prior to yesterday.

He should be sacked immediately, but I think we are trying to get to the end of the season if possible and then appoint. Obviously the next few games could change things !

This is the worry, there seems to be absolutely no pressure external to the club or internally on Dyche - we seem to be the only ones who see what’s happening and what we’re sleepwalking into (not even into - we’re already bang in it!)

We will never be a consistent top 4 team again in any of our lifetimes.

Nobody wants to hear that obviously.
I can understand that argument but we’re all going to find that unacceptable. The thing is that it is possible to become a top 4 team, it does shift over time. Possible not probable. 15 years ago it would have been Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea and (way behind) Liverpool. Now it’s City, Chelsea, Liverpool and when they can be bothered. Arsenal. But Arsenal, Chelsea and City all have various long term threats to the continual place at the top.
United aren’t regarded as one these days so it’s possible for teams to decline and be replaced.
Everton actually has some fabulous advantages in the long term. It’s the ability to capitalise on these and generate money *that’s spent well* that’s the question. Yes there’s some luck involved too. But when Moores took over in the early 60s he took over a team that was middling and made them sensational. Because he hired people who knew what they were doing.

Its more a statement of modern football for me rather than Everton in general.

If we start to push for the top 4 all the "big" clubs will start eyeing our players and the media will start putting out stories about players deserving moves etc etc.

Villa will be the next ones. Had a good year, lets start taking their players and put them in our reserves etc.

The game has changed. Modern football is rancid.
