Yeah - had a season ticket last year. They started up during my first year at uni in Wellington so I've actually been to the majority of games. Haven't committed to this season yet, given how grim last season was, but Merrick can't be any worse than Ricki so realistically I'll probably go to most games again!

Got to say though, travelling down to watch them is pretty committed.

Whereabouts do you live mate? Do you make it to any games?

I think Merrick will get them playing far more attractive football, loves Herbert for what he's done for football in this country but he's more negative than Moyes ffs.

I don't get to many as I'm about 4-5 hours north and work a bit on the weekends, but I'd love to get to more, especially if they do play a more expansive game. They're passionate as they come my friends, which is awesome to see as an ex-pat, some of these kiwis "get it" :)

Yeah, Ricki's done some good work (I was at the World Cup qualifier, which was class) but it's infuriating when you talk to folk who think he's "one of the best managers in the world". Someone actually said that to me!

Definitely been impressed with how the Nix fans have embraced it. The trouble for me is it doesn't come close to that tingling feeling you get walking into Goodison, or when Z-Cars kicks in, so I'm usually stood there thinking "this is good, but...". Having said that, it is just good to go and watch some live footy and have a sing song.

That's the key, it's not quite like home, but it's a nice little throwback. They're getting there slowly!
