Believe me, anytime a Republican is caught up in this type of scandal, the media makes sure you know what party the politician is a part of. But when it comes to a Democrat, they don't feel that it's important information.
I read that CNN article. Not once did you see (D) after Eliot Spitzer's name.
As for my opinion on this whole thing, personally, this couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. The underhanded tactics he used in going after financial and insurance industries in order to work his way up the political ladder was nothing short of blackmail. Of course he was doing this all for "the people."
I can't remember a politician in recent times with an ego as big as this guy.
I don't ever revel in the the demise of others but in recent times, I've made two exceptions where I've been extremely glad to see someone's career come to an end.
This case with Eliot Spitzer is one and the other was of Durham County prosecutor Mike Nifong of the Duke Lacrosse case. Both are scumbags of the highest order and got what was coming to them.
The only people I feel for in both cases were the wives and children of the two.
