I've this thing about American Diners and have eaten in far too many of them than is healthy....

Jacksonville once.. Will have to come and visit so we can watch a match together..
It's not what you think of when you picture a diner, but yes, I have eaten at Danny's. It is a local legend - you must go on a good weather day, sit outside, and order whatever Danny's special might be, especially an exotic burger of some kind. There is NO room inside, it's smaller than your local chip shop, but in a nice big outdoor space - it's like being in my old neighborhood back up here in Jax.
Tampa is full of great joints, with one of America's great local cuisines. Not far from Danny's is a taco joint that is unbelievably good. Try the Tampa Taco Bus, too - just down Falkenberg.
When you come to Arizona we'll have to drive up to Payson and hit the Beeline Cafe for breakfast, Crosswinds for lunch and Fargo's Steakhouse for dinner. And that's just day one...
Oh, and welcome...disgusting pineapple person.

The Beeline's been around since I was a kid; used to gas up in town and get breakfast there on the way up to go trout fishing...good times.
